Differential beamforming - application in practice

Hello everyone,

I am a beginner in beamforming,

Does anyone know how we can use the functions and code described in: Introduction to Differential Beamforming,

how would you process a real signal from a uniform linear array (ULA) consisted of 2 omnidirectional microphones?

As far as I can tell, this is a theoretical model that generates the polar response of a microphone array, but how to apply this to a real signal?
