Will there be an update for the Matlab implementation of ORB-SLAM 2?

Hi,
I have previously asked this question:
whose response was very helpful to me in improving trajectory estimation. If I understand correctly however, there is active work being done to improve the stability of the system and I was wondering if a date is known from which I can expect an improvement. I would indeed be interested in continuing to work with this ORB-SLAM 2 implementation, and I am curious to see if the choice of hyperparameters becomes more intuitive and less tedious.

Since R2023b, you can use monovslam to perform visual SLAM with a monocular camera.
