Generate or Edit A2L file to Include CAN Transport Layer Information

Hello,
I want to establish an XCP connection over CAN and send some signals to the ECU using blocks from Vehicle Network Toolbox (in External Mode?).
I have a Simulink model which I'm generating C code from. After code generation the code is wrapped, compiled and flashed to an ECU. During code generation I'm generating an A2L file (using the "Generate Calibration Files" function) and combining it with an ELF file (after compilation) to get the adresses for the individual signals/measurement points in the ECU.
The problem is that after A2L generation, the file is missing the XCP Protocol Details section (it's empty), which is needed for using the XCP CAN Configuration block from the Vehicle Network Toolbox and establishing an XCP connection.
I read the dcumentation in the following link but didn't find an answer:
In this link there is an example for generating an A2L file but after generating it, it's also missing the XCP Protocol Details section (also empty):
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel
