MATLAB R2022b unpack install problem Windows 10

When trying to install MATLAB R2022b onto Windows 10, it crashes out of the install after 28% of the unpack, saying it can't unpack a certain .zip in c:\program files\MATLAB\R2022b, after putting several folders into that directory. I've tried downloads the ISO and from the Windows Download Install, stops at the same place, 28% in. Never experienced this before with Windows MATLAB downloads. It's only the Windows download that is problematic, the Liunx install worked fine. There is plenty of space on the disk, I've tried with local administrator login, also domain admin login.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Please check the protocol of your virus protection.
Thanx for the response, Jan, but I am not sure what you are saying to check exactly.
We run McAfee, Trellix? these days, I've had a look at the firewall on my desktop, which I've tried just tried to re-install onto and failed with the usual error at 28% in.
I've no control over the McAfee setup, etc, I can't influence any rules, or holes needing to be put in for MATLAB to access outside, if that is what you are asking.

If the virus protection blocks the creation of a file, Matlab's installer cannot run successfully. Then a corresponding message should occur in the protocol of the virus protection, something like: "Blocked file creation in C:\program files\MATLAB\R2022b".
The event protocol of Windows might reveal a more useful error message also.
If the virus protection prohibits the concerned file due to a false positive detection, you have to disable the protection during the installation or exclude Matlab's installation folder from the protected files (bad idea).
