How to use function "ETFE", please help me !!

I read the instruction of "ETFE" in HELP of MATLAB, but I don't understand, anybody already use ETFE, Please tell me detail

It would be helpful, if you explain, what you did not understand explicitely. See e.g. http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/newsreader/view_thread/304817 -- but there is no answer...
