how to calculate encryption and decryption time of an algorithm?

HI am working on a project but currently, I am doing a write-up and introduction of the project.in this project I have to calculate encryption time and decryption time of algorithm so that's why can any one please guide me how to calculate encryption, decryption and key generation time of algorithm? Is there any formula to calculate these?
