Having created a model of a system in System Composer, is there a way to view a list of all of the connectors in the model?

The System Composer model incorporates a number of connectors between the ports on the blocks in the model, and all of the connectors have had Stereotypes applied. The connectors will eventually have values applied to each of the Stereotype properties. Is there a way to view a summary of the connector information in the model?

Unfortunately I get an error when using that command:

It looks like the command may do what I'm after though, based on your example. That said, I was hoping that System Composer itself would have the option of summarising the connectors in the model, much like it can with the Architecture Views.

Hi Pete,

If you want to see something in System Composer, how about the Analysis Viewer?

1. From the Modeling Tab, press the Analysis Model button.

2. Select the connector stereotype then press Instantiate (don't worry about specifying an Analysis Function).

3. The analysis viewer will create an instance of the architecture model that only contains the elements with that stereotype applied. Note that this is an instance of the architecture model (kind of like a snapshot in time) that can be saved and recalled as a .mldatx file. You can push changed values from the instance model to the architecture model by pushing the "Update" button. Likewise, you can pull values changed in the architecture into the instance model by pushing the Refresh button.

Thanks, that's pretty much exactly what I was after...

In the example you've posted, is the 'p1' column the output of an analysis function you've written? In my example, clicking on an individual instance of a connector in the list opens the 'INSTANCE PROPERTIES' pane, which shows exactly what I'd expect. However, it'd be nice to be able to show the properties in columns next to the connector instances, as per your screenshot. I suppose what I'm asking for is a table of the information, rather like a (sorry for the dirty word) spreadsheet!

What version of System Composer are you using?

The p1 column shows the current value of that stereotype property in the instance model. If you have an analysis function that manipulates that value, the value will be updated and highlighted to signify that it has changed. You can also manually edit the values in the s̶p̶r̶e̶a̶d̶s̶h̶e̶e̶t̶ table.

I've got Simulink version 10.4 (R2021b) - I'm not sure I can tell whether the System Composer version is the same. However, I've just re-run the instantiation and can now see the parameter values - just what I needed!
