waitbar process without loop

h = waitbar(0,'please wait to load file');
[num,txt,raw] = xlsread('C:\Matlab_codes\TG.xlsx');
close(h)

%in this example, I need to see process speed of xlsread via waitbar but there is no loop thus there is no any visible process into the waitbar.
