Connection error Matlab Download and Installation

Hi all,

I bought a student license for Matlab 2022a and am currently trying to install it on my machine. I'm working on a MacBookPro macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7.

I downloaded the installer file (around 190MB) and tried to run it. Half-way through the installation (exactly at 50%) I get the following error message: "Download error. There was an error downloading product files. Check your internet connection and rerun the installer"

I found that this might be related to the anti virus software or proxy settings as mentioned here: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/92634-why-do-i-get-a-connection-error-when-installing-or-activating-matlab-or-other-mathworks-products

However, following the steps did not resolve the issue either. Additionally I tried to bypass it doing an offline installation as suggested here:

However, trying to download the files without installation as suggested led to the exact same error message in Matlab.

It is very upsetting that I can't install the software on my computer and would appreciate your help!

Hello,

It could not be a regular connection problem by firewall or proxy since you can download some parts.

I will suggest you try to download simulink and toolboxes separately. For example, at the 1str run, only select matlab itself and check whether the download and installation will finish normally. If success, re-run the installer and select some toolboxes.
