how to remove mesh in a figure

Hi matlab users: I have problem with the attached .jpg image, I wanted to get red of the mesh in it , I have not wrote any grid on command in my code and the figure still shows meshes.Does any one have any idea about this strange mesh?

Hi: I just found the answer!, it is basically the command (shading flat), I put it after the plot command and it removed the grid. Naema
