more efficient alternatives then putsample?

Hi all,

I'm trying to make my code more efficient to be able to do real time video. Using the "profile" function on Matlab, I noticed that more then 50% of the time is being consumed by putsample.

putdata is not an option, as I run other lines of code in between each putsample.

I use putsample to move the detector to a certain position, make the measurement, and then use putsample to move the detector along its path.

Any ideas is appreciated.

PS> I am using National Instruments PCI 6259, I don't think the card speed is the issue.
