Hey!
I have an issue if i go to my folder on windows, a small box pop up, and shows what program i want to open this file in.
I choose MATLAB R2021a, and then this screen just pop up again. Only way to open this files is to open matlab, go to open file, and then choose the file i want to open and then it will open as a matlab file.
The icon of the file is just a sheet of paper, not the matlab symbol.
Thank you for your help!

"then this screen just pop up again". What is 'this screen'?
In windows you can set the default program to open certain file type with (in Settings, Apps, Default Apps).

There is also a tool on the file exchange called fix file association or something similar. You could try running that.

Okey! Thanks i Will try this! The box that pop up, is the file tool where you can choose what program you want to open the file in. Internet Explorer, paint, matlab etc.. And i chose matlab as a standard program, then I pressed 'ok'. Then I can Just spam ok multiple times but this one Just pops up again.

I used theese steps to fix the problem. I was able to do this up til point 5. I am not able to run the MatlabFileAssocFix.reg file.
How to do it, Steps:
1.Download the file.
2. Extract it.
3. Run the associateFiles.m file using MATLAB.
4. Then you'll get a MatlabFileAssocFix.reg
5. Run the MatlabFileAssocFix.reg file & press yes.
6. Run matlabshortcuts.bat file
7. Run runmatlab.bat file>
Done, now your file association problem should be fixed.

AMAZING guys! Thanks alot! It worked now! I have my exam tomorrow so was awsome to fix this! :D
It is not clear to me how you are trying to run the .reg file?
The instructions say,
% USAGE:
% 1) In the MATLAB command window browse to the folder where this file is
% located.
% 2) Run with desired options (see above). A registry file should have been
% created.
% 3) Exit all running instances of MATLAB.
% 4) Make a backup copy of the windows registry if you need to restore the
% changes, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/322756
% 5) Double click on the created file (possibly need to enter a password) and
% confirm.
% 6) Restart Windows (or explorer.exe).
% 7) The MATLAB files should now be associated with the MATLAB version that the
% registry file was created in and e.g. m-files should be opened in an
% already running instance of MATLAB.
