matlab versions

calculation of sqrt,cov,det values varies from matlab 2009 and 2007 versions ..i get some related values only in 2007...what can b done..

I'm surprised that SQRT should reply different values. Please post an example. DET is sensitive to different processors, rounding directives and changes in the inputs. Therefore you cannot expect to get the identical values on different systems. At least both results are numerically correct.
