Delay profile in nrTDLChannel

I'm working with the nrTDLChannel channel model and I came across the various delay profile.

Now I've read the TR 38.901 and the tables but, in practice, I would like to know in what environments we can use these profiles. For instance, TDL-D and TDL-E are for LON channel models. Can we consider these models feasible for communication, let's say, in an open area with no obstacles (like a field)
