How to move all the image files in a folder to a sub-folder without user intervention?

I have written a script that generates different plot figures for corresponding data in excel spreadsheets. At the end, I need to move all these files into a sub-folder whose name is provided by the user with a GUI Textbox Input, as a string that is read by mkdir function. Can anyone please help me with this?

Use the FAQ http://matlab.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#How_can_I_process_a_sequence_of_files.3F and movefile(). Let us know if you can't figure it out.
