Simulink Coder Optimization for TI DSP Processor?

I would like to know how Simulink Coder Optimizes the code for processor. For Instance I use TI OMAP l138, is Simulink coder use TI's library?
Is there anyone who used Simulink coder in DSP processor?
Could someone suggest a book or article about Simulink Coder?
