Use java to interface device in MATLAB

I recently had a difficult time getting MATLAB to read from a device connected with UDP/LAN. I found someone wrote a program in JAVA to interface with device, and I have the source code, which includes multiples folders and .java files.

Is there a way to use these java scripts to get MATLAB to read data from the device?
