How to calculate the private total of this chain of numbers?

Hellp everybody, I have a math excercise which require me to calculate the private total(Sn) and the total (S) (if it has) of this sequence of number:

and then conclude whether this sequence is converging or diverging. Everything need to be done in Command window.

How can I do that? Please help me, I will show gratitude to your help a lot! Many thanks.

What is a "private total" ?

Is the "4." part of the sum or is it the question number?
