Suppose i have two signals x1(t) and x2(t), how do i measure asymmetry between them?? Any Matlab function or code will be helpful.

That greatly depends on what is meant by "asymmetry" and what kind of signals they might be characterized as.

Yeah, I know symmetry of one signal about it's middle, but with two totally arbitrary signals, what does symmetry mean to you? Let's say one signal is a single Gaussian hump, and another is a train of 15 triangle pulses. Describe what the "symmetry between them" is. Or give two signals that are 100% symmetric to each other. What might those look like? Where is the axis of symmetry located?

I have no idea what your definition of symmetry is in regards to two completely different and arbitrary signals. Is there any chance you're looking for the structural Similarity, SSIM: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSIM
