How to select wavelet 2D coefficients for reconstruction ?

Something similar to ' The Wavelet Coefficient Selection 2-D ' option in the Wavelet Toolbox menu with the Stepwise Movie option is what I am looking for.
I am working on denoising and I would like to select the 2D wavelet coefficients for reconstruction.I have decomposed the image and have performed some operations on the wavelet coefficients. How can I incorporate coefficients selection through commands ?
