Wait for another script to complete its execution

I have developed a matlab script(Name: caller_script). In the middle, this script(caller_script) calls another script(Name: Called script). After this, both the scripts (i.e. caller_script and called_script) runs parallely. However I want to halt caller_script once it calls called_script and resume it when called_script has completed its execution. Is there any way to do the same.
