Constrained delaunay triangulation for 3d objects

Hi, I wanted to ask a question regarding the part meshing after slicing. In my work, I guess the constrained Delaunay triangulation will work. I wanted to see if someone have come across something like that earlier and can suggest about it. Matlab has constrained Delaunay triangulation in 2d, however, I wanted to have it for 3d. I am attached a segmented portion of a donut for the reference where a normal triangulation is used and therefore some unwanted region has also been triangulated. I have the contour of the sliced region which I want to have it as a constraint (similar with the edge constraint in 2d).

Please suggest!
