I would like to compile a standalone application in the Student Version of MATLAB.

You cannot compile a standalone application with the Student Version of MATLAB because the MATLAB Compiler, MATLAB C/C++ Math Libraries, and MATLAB C/C++ Graphic Libraries, which are needed to compile standalone code, are not able to be used with the Student Version of MATLAB.
