summaryTable

R2026b

Applies statistical measure to each data channel in tire data

Since R2023b

    Description

    Add-On Required: This feature requires the Extended Tire Features for Vehicle Dynamics Blockset add-on.

    T = summaryTable(obj) applies a statistical measure to each data channel in the tireData object specified by obj. The function returns a table containing a row for each object in the tireData input array.

    T = summaryTable(obj, Name=Value) specifies additional options using one or more name-value arguments.

    Examples

    collapse all

    Apply statistical measures to tire data channels using summaryTable. This is useful for comparing test conditions across multiple data sets or summarizing key force and slip metrics.

    Generate synthetic tire data at three vertical load levels with a lateral force ramp.

    td = tireData.generate("Ramp", ...
          direction="alpha", ...
          initialValue=-0.15, ...
          finalValue=0.15, ...
          Fz=[3000; 5000; 7000], ...
          gamma=[0; 0.03; 0.06], ...
          kappa=0, ...
          Vx=16.7, ...
          IP=220000);

    Limit the summary to specific channels and, to see the data spread across each test condition, use the range statistic.

    T = summaryTable(td, VariableNames = ["alpha","Fz","gamma","Vx"], DataStat="mean")

    Input Arguments

    collapse all

    Tire data, specified as a tireData object or an array of tireData objects.

    Name-Value Arguments

    collapse all

    Specify optional pairs of arguments as Name1=Value1,...,NameN=ValueN, where Name is the argument name and Value is the corresponding value. Name-value arguments must appear after other arguments, but the order of the pairs does not matter.

    Example: summaryTable(tData, VariableNames=["Fx", "Fy"], DataStat="range")

    Variable names, specified as a string array. This argument limits the summary table variables to those listed in the VariableNames string array.

    Example: VariableNames=["Fx", "Fy"]

    Data Types: string

    Statistical function used to summarize the data channels, specified as one of these values:

    • mean

    • max

    • median

    • min

    • mode

    • std

    • var

    • range

    Example: DataStat="range"

    Data Types: string

    Output Arguments

    collapse all

    Summary table, returned as a table object.
