Description

Add-On Required: This feature requires the UAV Toolbox Support Package for ArduPilot Autopilots add-on.

The Current Incidence & Sideslip block reads the estimate of incidence (α or angle of attack) and sideslip (β) angles in degrees from the ArduPilot Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS).

Use this block to access AHRS-estimated aerodynamic angles in your Simulink model for monitoring, logging, or feedback logic in flight-control and analysis workflows. Typical applications include airframe envelope monitoring, estimator validation, and stability analysis in Simulink-based autopilot designs targeting ArduPilot-compatible flight controllers.

This block supports only ArduPlane vehicle types.

α — Estimated incidence (angle of attack) in degrees

Outputs the AHRS-estimated incidence angle (α) in degrees.

β — Estimated sideslip angle in degrees

scalar

Outputs the AHRS-estimated sideslip angle (β) in degrees.

Parameters

Sample time — Frequency to read data from the ArduPilot AHRS

-1 (default)

Specifies the sample time of the block. A value of -1 indicates that the block inherits the base rate and executes at the model’s fundamental sample time.
