Are you a marketing professional who loves to learn, enjoys using data to drive improvements, and thrives in a collaborative, process-oriented environment? MathWorks is seeking an experienced Field Marketing Specialist to partner with business sectors and sales teams to build high-impact inbound and outbound marketing campaigns that generate new leads and engage existing customers. You’ll work at a strategic level supporting North America’s lead and awareness generation process, as well as at a tactical level developing campaigns for specific sales teams, industries, and application areas. 

In this position, you’ll collaborate with Sales, Industry Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative Services, and other groups across the organization and around the world. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and communication skills, demonstrate a data-driven approach to demand generation, and have a proven history of cross-functional collaboration.

  • Develop a yearly marketing strategy to align to sales objectives that include a variety of inbound and outbound marketing tactics.
  • Plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns including tactics such as email, events and digital.
  • Work with sales teams to understand the needs of their customers and prospects.
  • Collaborate with global marketing teams on projects and campaigns.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to leverage targeted and engaging content for integrated campaigns.
  • Analyze customer and account data to create actionable insights that turn into leads.
  • Be creative to work on ad-hoc prospecting and customer engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Technical teams to support Social Selling efforts.
  • Perform detailed analysis of tactics, channels, and offers with recommendations to improve our mix of programs.
  • Support the further enhancement of our events and social media activities.

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.

  • The ideal candidate will have 10 years of professional marketing experience working in a high-tech environment.
  • Excellent project management, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience partnering with a senior sales team comprised of sales, technical and industry stakeholders.
  • Experience in multi-touch, integrated marketing programs, program design, and execution of a wide range of lead-generating activities. 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing demand generation campaigns in a B2B environment.
  • Solid understanding of lead generation.
  • Analytical and reporting skills that leverage data for decision-making.
  • Team player with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Both hands-on and strategic thinking attitude.
  • May require domestic travel for work <10%.
