How can I detect that the Matlab Component Runtime is crashed? And what to do about it?
I'm using 2012a, 2014b, and 2015a but not in the same projects in Java Webapplications. Say the Matlab Component Runtime crashes...

xlwrite: Generate XLS(X) files without Excel on Mac/Linux/Win
Generates ‘.xls’ & '.xlsx' files on Mac/Linux/Win without Excel, using same syntax as xlswrite.
