The RTS96 73 bus benchmark is loosely based on the IEEE Reliability test system - 1996, for research-oriented studies and educational purposes.
The authors of the SimPowerSystems implementation of this benchmark are Ali Moeini, Patrice Brunelle, Gilbert Sybille, and Innocent Kamwa, from IREQ Hydro-Québec research institute.
