PostgreSQL is a relational database management system (RDBMS). PostgreSQL is supported through Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), an industry-standard specification for connecting to and accessing data from relational databases.

Using the PostgreSQL ODBC driver, you can connect and query directly from your PostgreSQL database using Database Toolbox without having to install or configure additional drivers.
