Optimization of battery size for a PV solar and electrolysis system

Hi everyone,

I have a problem when I have the hourly energy generation values of PV for a year and the electricity consumption of the electrolyser. I now want be able to check which size of battery would make more sense. I do not want to simulate a battery just use the data I have to size the battery. Also I would like to know if there was a way in matlab to check when the battery has to be charged from the grid and when from PV and when the battery can be used to power the electrolyser. I would really appreciate any help.
