"std::exception" error Matlab kernel in Jupyter

I'm running Matlab kernel in Jupyter lab and upon running a specifc command I get the following error message

Caught "std::exception" Exception message is:
std::exception 

I'm running this on Ubuntu 20.04. When I looked this up one of the answers said that this might be related to improperly uninstalling an earlier version of Matlab which looks like it might be my case because I just switched from 2021a to 2020b. Now my question is how to resolve this?

Hello,

As of now we dont't support MATLAB kernal in juypter integration. I have brought this issue to the concerned people and it might be considered in any future release.

As of now you can use this link and follow the steps metioned as a workaround.
