Inserting 2 digit number not as a matrix

Hello, I'm currently making a gui in solving integral using trapezoidal rule. The gui input were a = min integral limit, and b = max intergral limit. However, when I keyed in the number of subintervals, matlab gives me and mldivide error. How can I key in not as a matrix but as a 2 digit number

handles.value_n = str2double( get(hObject, 'string') );
... Just like the hint in the comment immediately above your original line.

I've tried that actually, however this error came up
??? Error using ==> str2double
Too many input arguments.
Error in ==> Trapezoidal_rule>value_n_Callback at 148
handles.value_n = str2double (hObject, 'string');
Error in ==> gui_mainfcn at 96
feval(varargin{:});
Error in ==> Trapezoidal_rule at 42
gui_mainfcn(gui_State, varargin{:});
Error in ==>
@(hObject,eventdata)Trapezoidal_rule('value_n_Callback',hObject,eventdata,guidata(hObject))
??? Error while evaluating uicontrol Callback
Edit: My bad, for to type (get ................... )

Re-read what I wrote. Notice I left in the get(), but you took it out.
