sample times of a product block

Hi,
I have to use the "Product" block as a mixer. Somehow I get this knowledge: The sample times of two inputs must not have arbitrary values or there is an error:
"Cannot determine a sample time for block Product."
It seems they must be the same or have multiple relations. Does anyone know this issue?
Thank you

Perhaps you can use the Rate Transition block to convert one of the input signals to have the same sample-rate as the other?

Could you clarify your question a little more. What are the two signals you want to mix? What is the reason that they are sampled at different rate?

One input comes from a signal with sample time = 5.2083e-008 (this seems strange but it is made by packetting, coding, filtering and so on), the other input is connected with a local oscillator (Sine Wave block) with a frequency = 20000000000 and a sample time = 1/80000000000.
I am not sure if the sample time of the oscillator shall depend on its own frequency or the sample time of the other input.
