VAD (Voice activity detection) with harmonicRatio function

hi

im trying to wright an algorithem for VAD with harmonicRatio function.

i have read alot of articls about VAD and harmonics but couldnt find a method, an equation or something that connect hR to VAD.

i know that hR return values between 0 and 1, high harmonic gives '1' and low harmonic gives '0'. that means the high harmonic is when there are sounds and low harmonic when there are no sounds/noise.

how do i mold this too together?

Hi Liron,

you can look in to the example implemented by Mathworks for Voice Activity Detection, this is in noise also uses HarmonicRatio function along with few other functions.
