Java error causing crash on startup in R2011b

I am running R2011B on a Mac with OS10.6.8. Everything was working until yesterday. Getting the following errors logged in the console:

JavaVM: requested Java version ((null)) not available. Using Java at "" instead.

JavaVM: Failed to load JVM: /bundle/Libraries/libserver.dylib

JavaVM FATAL: Failed to load the jvm library.

Unable to find any JVMs matching architecture "x86_64".

Unable to find any system-provided Java.

JavaVM: requested Java version ((null)) not available. Using Java at "" instead.

Fatal Error on startup: Unable to start the JVM because of a bad Java option or unknown error.

Please check your java.opts file.
