How can i increase the speed of matlab 2012 for simulink?

I recently installed matlab 2012 but unfortunetli it cant execute simulink ,i waited for 20 minutes but nothing happened ,the speed in operations is very slow plz help me

First, bump your Java Heap Space up a little it.

Home Tab -> Preferences -> General -> Java Heap Space.

Then restart ML
