Antenna Toolbox, how pattern function works?

Hello everyone, i have 3 questions:
1) In the documentation of the pattern function is writted: "By default, in Antenna Toolbox™, the far-field radius is set to 100λ". What does it means?
If Matlab uses the division of the field in far and near filed, like in this figure ![](https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/uploaded_files/385653/image.png)
![](https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/uploaded_files/385653/image.png)
and like is write in the documentation ( https://it.mathworks.com/help/antenna/ug/field-analysis.html ).
2) If i use an array of 20 dipole of 0.15 m length and 0.001 width, where the distance element by element is 0.15m, the dimension D used to calculate the far-field is 0.15*20?
3) At which point is calculed the max value of electric field that I see if i use the function pattern(arrayObject, freq,'Type','efield') when the object is an array of total length=4m? It can not be [0;0;1] because [0;0;1] are not in far-field-region!
