Trouble with data import - "No data is available for preview."

I'm having serious trouble with importing daily return data. For ten years it works, but when I try doing it for 50 years, the import wizard doesn't allow for me to continue past the preview part where it gives a preview on the left side, but on the right only writes "No data is available for preview."

This probably has to do with the size of the file, so I tried to cut it into excel sheets, but this didn't work either... Does anyone have any advice? Otherwise i suppose I'll need to go back to school to download the data per decade...

Use textscan instead.
