In previous versions of Matlab (e.g. 2014b) I could use Simulink preferences to set the default configuration to be used for all new models. The tree under preferences included all (most?) of the tabs you'd see in a model's configuration. For example, solver details, diagnostic choices, etc. That tree no longer exists under Simulink preferences. How does one set the default configuration for Simulink now?
I've seen detailed discussions on how to do this with laborious commands. That's not what I mean. How is it done easily? I hope Mathworks did not throw out a perfectly useful capability.
-Thanks

Hi James,
You can specify all model settings to a new model by creating a model template.
Hope it helps.

documentation is not available any more - at least there isn't an automatic forwarder to the most recent documentation: https://de.mathworks.com/help/simulink/ug/open-models.html
