What does 'regstats' mean in this example?

Is regstats a function or something else? I'm not sure what it does here, exactly.

[b,dev,stats] = glmfit(...) returns dev and stats.
stats is a structure with the following fields:
MATLAB syntax doesn't allow anything but return variables on LHS of an assignment.
