Recovering editor window scripts

I had a problem with my 2017b licence and was told to uninstall and reinstall the latest version. When I reinstalled the 2020a version I find I ahve lost all my scripts that I had in the editor window. Is there any way to recover these?

Do you know the location of the directory where the scripts were saved?

Those are in the ‘preferences’ file. Explore the various options for recovering the preferences file in this list of search results.

Thanks for the response, but I did manage to find them just by searching for "matlab" in explorer and when I double clicked on them they then were reintated in the editor window.
