Menu not working using Guide

I created a menu from the menu editor using GUIDE.

I assigned the tag for the File as: file_menu

and the tag for the reset (child of file) as: File_Reset_Menu

and then I programmed the callbacks.

but when I click on File, nothing appears in the command window. (File menu selected should appear, right?)

the same goes for the reset, when I press it does not clear the text box which handles is : handles.Edtxt_Eng

Please help.

Did you try setting a breakpoint on those lines to see if it gets there? Attach the fig file and the m file so I can try it.

Nvm.. I was told that it is a bug in Matlab2019b.. I installed Matlab2020a and everything worked perfectly
