What is mpt.parameter and mpt.signal?

What is mpt.parameter and mpt.signal? Wher it is used? purpose?

As far as my understanding goes, mpt.Parameter and mpt.Signal are advanced versions of Simulink.Parameter and Simulink.Signal. They are used to define custom data types for parameters and signals respectively. For example, see Generate Code Including User-Defined Data Types.
