why does matlab 2019a for Mac keyboard freeze in both editor and command window

Keyboard freezes are common in the last several Matlab updates. Happens both in the editor and in the command window.

Some people in this thread commented on windows management software (like Magnet) causing this issue. Check out the comments and answers in that thread for more suggestions and things that worked for people.

This worked for me. I had just installed Magnet before this issue came up but I did not spot the cause and effect there. It is no longer freezing after I disabled Magnet.

Thanks, Cam. I don't run Magnet but I do run Outlook, OneDrive, and sometimes Word. I will try shutting some things down to see if that helps.
