how to divide a region into elements where each element is 9 node element in matlab?

I have gone through these codes already, but i am having problem in getting the logic to modify these codes. Each element should look like below attached image. I will be thankful to you if you can further help me. To be more specific, i am having problem in reshaping section in above code files.
