Use value maximization/ Minimization instead of fitting in NNTool

Hi there,
Greeting from Australia. Using nntools or Machine Learning toolbox, I could do fitting or classification with relative ease. However, I dont seem to be able to do maximization/minimization type problem.
Am I missing something here?
