HOW DO I FIND THE PERCENTAGE OF AREA ,IF THE LENGTH AND THE WIDTH OF THE ROOM IS INCREASED BY 20 PERCENTAGE

Let l, b be your old length and breadths. l1, b1 be new lengths and breadths
l1 = 120/100*l ;
b1 = 120/200*b ;
A1 = l1*b1 ;
= 120/100*120/100*l*b ;
= 144/100*A ;
Thus the area increased by 44%.
