What validation scheme is used in MatLab neural network?

during training phase we define the data as training 70%, validation 15% and testing 15% , but there is no idea as what type of validation scheme is being used. Is there any provision in Matlab where we can choose our desire validation scheme ( either k-fold or hold out).
