Does unwrap function works for 2D data as well....?

Hi, can some one help me with matlab "unwrap" command. I know that it works well for one dimentioanl data, but I am not sure where it is applicable to 2 dimentional data like images. If it is applicable to images please explain the same with an example.

Dear madhan ravi, thanks for your help. I already have multiple phase unwrapping algorithems. But I am curious about whether matlab "unwrap" command works for 2D images or not. In my implementations it seems to works for 2D data. But I wanted to conform that as it has not been mentioned in math works documentation page.

No unwrap works for 1D only. If it seems to work on 2D you are just lucky, because your phase does not have noise and coherent.

Wouldn't trust anything serious result in 2D
