How to set target vectors for multiple classes in neural network?

Hi,

I am using shallow neural network to classify six subjects/targets based on their some features collected from sensor. My input vector is 6*7 where seven features for six subjects and targets. For setting target lets say my first, second and third target will be target=[ 0 0 0 0 0 0 0;0 0 0 0 0 0 1; 0 0 0 0 0 1 0]; In that way if i select my target will that be correct way of assigning target for classification?
